Making A Difference

Episode 47 - A Rock and a Hard Place (Curtin University)

Junction Journalism

In 2024, we brought you the story of the fight to protect the sacred Indigenous rock art site, Murujuga, in Western Australia's Pilbara from industrial pollution. The story has just taken a new turn with the federal government conditionally extending the North West Shelf gas project, which is right next to Murujuga. Two court challenges have already been lodged against the decision. To help you understand how a site that is more ancient than the pyramids in Egypt could be in danger, we're re-running the investigation by Tylah Tully from Curtin University.
